		<description>Amazingly, I also remember why I was so fond of Lycos back then: It was because it helped me answer several questions, and do so better than the others. I found out about CJD, the strange symbols on the dollarbill and the census of population growth in the US, all of that was possible to find on the Internet already in 1997. Lycos did a much better job than Yahoo, for a while Alta Vista rose to fame, but the stupid name, and the fact that altavista.com was owned by a hi-jacker didn't help.

So there was room for something with a short, easy to remember -  and spell - name, with a website to match...GOOGLE! owned that niché, pretty much, from day one!</description>
