How I stopped worrying and love humanity

Almost each day I catch a glimpse of the news. This person have run amok with a gun in a mall. That person wants rape…

In my house owners association we had a manual from the “national civil defense/guard” issued in the early 1980ies that listed what our board had of obligations in case of nuclear war (number of yellow wests and shovels to stock etc.), NOW that was scary…

BTW what scared me as a child was that supersonic jets and spacecrafts would destroy the atmosphere and that the ozone layer would be depleted, and the book The Limits to Growth was scary “no matter what we do, we’re doomed”.

So what scares me is that we’ve known these facts since the 70’ies, so I charge us all with terrorism against the Earth, if found guilty, this might make future generations judge us less harshly…

What gives me hope is that humanity is crafty, and has learned to stop worrying and love the bomb for 70 years now, ponder that future generations!

ps. in the 70’ies I got most of my knowledge from The Danish and Swedish State Broadcasting Corporations, now I’m happy that YouTube has legalised piracy so I still can watch BBC documentaries…
