Introduction

Is it possible to make a utility to read IRSC codes from a CD, a utility that runs under Mac OS X.

Background

This project has been suggested due to a forum posting: Program til læsning af ISRC koder on http://www.macnyt.dk.

Analysis

This looks like a promissing project: CD Information from a remote Freedb database

This is a .NET implementation of a utility to retrieve CD information from FreeDB.

Problem: It is based on a C# implementation of a CD-Ripper (C Sharp Ripper), and it will most likely not work on Mac OS X, since it must contain some low-level code.

I will probably need some CD-Ripper open source implementation for Mac OS X.
